Disclosed is a fusion polypeptide for expression in a host cell, in which the fusion polypeptide has a basic structure, in sequence, an N-terminus, a TolAIII domain or a functional homologue, fragment or derivative thereof, a non-TolA protein partner other than a His tag, and a C-terminus. Also disclosed is DNA molecules encoding the polypeptide, expression vectors comprising the DNA molecules, cloning vectors and uses of the fusion polypeptide for immobilising or purifying the non-TolA protein partner.
