The invention relates to an electrochemical micropump with non-miscible liquids and "siphon effect", to be used in technical fields where the circulation of small amounts of liquid is required. According to the invention, the electrochemical micropump with non-miscible fluids comprises mainly a housing (1) provided with a cavity (a) in the upper part of which there is stored a liquid (2) to be circulated, while in the lower part thereof there is placed an electrolyser made of two electrodes (3 and 3') placed in a microcavity (a') provided on the bottom of the housing and supplied through some conductors (4 and 4') made of a usual material and provided with electrochemical protection by a plastic support (5) integral with a circular cover (6), the said electrodes being submerged in a gas-generating liquid (7), such as water, which, by electrolysis, produces gaseous oxygen release at an overpressure priming the flow of the liquid to be circulated through a U-shaped microchannel (8), and then, as a consequence of the opening of an electrically-operated valve (9), the micropump operates based on the "siphon effect".
