Use of fumaric acid derivatives in transplant medicine

The use of fumaric acid monoalkylesters in the form of salts or a free acid, alone or in combination with a dialkylfumarate, for producing pharmaceutical preparations used in transplant medicine, especially for treating, mitigating or suppressing host-versus-graft reactions. The fumaric acid monoalkylesters can also be used for this purpose in conjunction with the preparations traditionally used in transplant medicine and with immunosuppressants such as cyclosporines.
