The proposed apparatus for determining and monitoring composition of thickened solutions and sediments in structural joints with heat flow and located in track of feed water of power device steam generators, such as thermal or nuclear power stations consists of a primary pressure vessel (1) containing heating medium with a controlled source (2) of heat therein, and a secondary pressure vessel (3), having its inlet connected in a track of a steam generator feed water. An exchangeable member (4) with at least one heat transfer tube (5) passing sealingly through the body thereof is sealingly inserted between the primary and secondary pressure vessels (1, 3). A model side-to-side slit (6) is performed on a portion of the heat transfer tube (5) length on the side turned toward the secondary pressure vessel (3) between said heat transfer tube (5) outer wall and the exchangeable member (4) body, wherein said heat transfer tube (5) is connected at its one end to the interior of the primary pressure vessel (1) while the other opposite closed end of the heat transfer tube (5) reaches in the interior of the secondary pressure vessel (3)so that when the apparatus is in operation, said second end is flooded with feed water of the steam generator.
