the present invention describes the preparation of a new approach to performance in a variety of commercial bacillus licheniformis rp1 detergent washing liquids and solids, named subtilisin rp1, and proved to be effective in the removal of stains. the enzyme of the invention has all the qualities of a good detergent protease.the enzyme is active and stable in the alkaline solution, the optimal ph is between 10.5 and 11.0. the enzyme is stable against surfactants and oxidizing agents. the enzyme activity is thermoactive and thermostable, is optimal in the vicinity of 65 - 158. in addition, the enzyme is active and effective in 40 and 50 c.the specificity of the enzyme is low, the degree of hydrolysis is of the order of 20%. the study of the activity and the stability of the enzyme preparation showed that the enzyme is compatible with most of the solid and liquid detergents were tested. the optimal action in the presence of detergents was observed at a temperature of 60oc.no loss of activity was observed when the enzyme was preincubated for 1 hour to 40 in detergents diluted with tap water.
