METHOD FOR X-RAY EXAMINATION OF PATIENTS WITH INFLAMMATIONS OF PARANASAL SINUSES

A method for X-ray examination of patients with inflammations of the paranasal sinuses comprises the analysis of X-ray pictures taken in mentonasal projection with the open mouth and the tube inclined caudally at 10-15 DEGREE in a vertical position. In the case of the grave conditions of the patient X-ray image of the skull is obtained in the parietal semiaxial projection. In cases of unsatisfactory visualization of one of the group of sinuses, the ambiguity of the findings in X-ray pictures taken in mentonasal projection or the requirements of differentiation of X-ray findings, the special X-ray examinations are performed.
