TECHNIQUE FOR CLOSURE OF TROCAR INSERTION SITE AFTER LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

A technique for the closure of the site of trocar insertion after laparoscopic surgery comprises tightening aponeurosis of the edges of the trocar wound held on the clamps followed by their sewing. The trocar wound is broadened by 1 cm incision in the cranial direction with the trocar still in place. The suture is applied to the upper edge of aponeurosis starting at a distance of 0.5-0.8 cm outwards in perpendicular to the trocar. Upon the removal of trocar, the peritoneum is sewed up. The lower edge of aponeurosis is sutured by the same thread, which is applied to the upper edge of aponeurosis. U-shaped suture is applied from inside generating duplicature.
