METHOD FOR ASSESSING REACTIVITY OF CEREBRAL BLOOD VESSELS BY DATA OF ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY

A method for assessing the reactivity of the cerebral blood vessels by the data of electroencephalography provides for recording the background bioelectric activity of the brain in the state of the rest and upon taking nitroglycerin. The difference of the relative output of theta rhythm at rest and upon loading in the right and left hemispheres is measured. The difference exceeding 17-20 % is indicative of the vasodilation exceeding the physiologic normal values.
