METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC NAVIGATION IN MODERN NEUROSURGERY

摘要

A method for the ultrasonic navigation in modern neurosurgery comprises the ultrasonography for the neurovisualization with the sterile latex glove as the intermediate medium between the ultrasonic probe and the tissues of the operative wound. The glove is wetted from outside with the sterile physiologic saline. After trepanation of the skull, or laminectomy, or hemilaminectomy, the glove is placed between the ultrasonic probe and the soft tissues of the operative wound.
