Method for determination of temperature coefficient of linear thermal expansion of solid material at low temperatures includes operations of cooling sample of material, with following keeping set temperature during prescribed time interval, with following continuous increase of temperature, with continuous registration of temperature and change of linear dimensions of sample, by those one determines temperature coefficient of linear thermal expansion of material under investigation at low temperatures. Preliminarily one installs on the sample tensiometer intended for continuous measurement of deformations. Error of measurements caused by temperature deformations of tensiometer one determines at additional experiment that is carried out at same temperature interval on sample of standard material with known values of linear expansion. Temperature coefficient of linear thermal expansion of material under investigation is determines by formula.
