METHOD FOR MASS LABORATORY REARING OF POPULATIONS OF TRICHOGRAMMA (HYMENOPTERA, TRICHOGRAMMATIDAE)

A method for mass laboratory rearing of populations of Trichogramma (Hymenoptera, Trichogrammatidae) includes growing the Trichogramma in eggs of feeding insects. A starting Trichogramma colony is preliminary formed by means of gathering layings of the Orgyja gonostigma Z. infected by the Trichogramma from uncultivated perennial plantations. In the laboratory conditions passage of the Trichogramma is carried out in the course of two generations through the eggs of the wax moth (Galleria mellonella Z.) feeding the females of the Trichogramma with a water solution of modified yeast ribonucleic acid in a concentration of 0.045-0.008%.
