Supporting rod for WORKing open-end holes on lathes

摘要

A supporting rod for treating the open-end holes on the lathes is made in the form of a cylindrical metal pin, which has a machine taper at one end and centering opening at the second one. The supporting rod allows to maximally reduce a lever arm cutter - support and to, as a result, to increase significantly the rigidity of system VPID, that allows to considerably increase the modes of cutting, ensuring high accuracy and surface roughness at machining of deep holes by means of universal boring bars on the lathes of production chain.
