A method for production of palladium powder from palladiumcontaining scrap includes chemical or electrochemical leaching with the following production of dichlorodiaminepalladium and reduction thereof by electrolysis with separate anode and cathode spaces. Reduction is carried out in the slurry of crystalline dichlorodiaminepalladium in the solution of 2-3 M chloride acid, which additionally contains reducing agent formiate acid.
