A method for heat treatment of rolled metal from low- and intermediate-carbon steels for cold heading involves the interrupted tempering, heating to the intercritical temperature interval, holding, cooling below As1, air holding and cooling. Bainite quenching is carried out, and cooling is carried out to the temperatures of 650- with the following holding during 40-50 s, after which reheating to the undercritical temperature is carried out with the rate of 15-20 °C/min.
