The invention relates to area of material testing, in particular to methods for evaluation of fracturing stability of plastic materials at complicated loading modes. Method for evaluation of effect of sudden increase of rate of deformation on fracturing stability of plastic materials proposes to stretch in sequence series of same samples of material under investigation to pre-set levels of deformation with destruction of friable samples with given increasing diameters that are loaded in parallel with sample. At that one fixes respective values of sudden increases of rate of deformation, with the values of critical rate of deformation included, at which in process of pulse of deformation sample is practically divided into two parts, and by parameters of complete diagrams of deformation one evaluates fracturing stability of material with account of different sudden increase of rate of deformation. The invention provides reliable evaluation of total range of parameters of fracture stability of material at different sudden increases of rate of deformation on given stages of deformation.
