The invention relates to mining industry and can be used for determination of the parameters of electrohydroimpulse crushing of the rocks, and also at development of installations for this crushing. A method of determining the parameters of electrohydroimpulse crushing of the rocks consists in that the sample of tested rock is installed between the electrodes of electrode system placed in the bath with liquid, and electrical discharges are applied. In this case the sample is subjected to action of discharges of specific duration with increasing voltage, the level of the voltage of the charge of capacitors, at which the sample of one and the same type is crushed by 1-2 pulses, and the coefficient of electrohydroimpulse crushing of the rock is calculated according to the formula =, where I = distance between the electrodes of electrode system or thickness of the sample, mm; U - voltage of the charge of capacitor of the pulse generator of current, at which the sample was broken, kV. A device for determining the parameters of electrohydroimpulse crushing of the rocks contains a bath for liquid with an electrode system installed in it. The negative electrode of electrode system is made in the form of a metal box housing, which has one of the walls inclined at the angle=6-12° toward the opposite wall, on which an insulator with positive electrode is fastened which is made in the form of several electrically connected parallel plates with length L; moreover, the insulator is fastened directly on the wall or with use of additional gaskets with thickness S = (0.6-0.8) L tg, and on the bottom of bath a pan for collection of the fragments of samples under investigation is installed. The invention provides preliminary determination of the parameters of electrohydroimpulse crushing of separate rocks at development of installations for this crushing.
