An articulated lever assembly has a lever pivotally mounted to a base and a link pivotally mounted between the lever and the front end of the handle in a handle assembly. The lever has two pivot tabs extending from the rear end and pivotally mounted to the wings of a stationary bracket on the base. One end of the link is pivotally mounted between the tabs. Lower and upper covers enclose the base and the lever.
