Two of the radiation-sensitive components inside the sensor (21) are positioned on opposite sides of a partition wall or dividing structure and on a central axis extending through this wall or structure so that a plane through the wall defines two complimentary spaces. Each component can detect radiation from the area of the space lying outside a plane extending at right angles to the wall or structure and extending through the wall or structure central axis, so that these spaces are arranged symmetrically in relation to the dividing plane. These two components are located in a central position opposite each other.
