The gate comprises transparent plastic panels which include a lifting handle and can be stacked one on top of the other in order to alter gate height. The upper and lower horizontal edges of the panels have cooperating tongue and groove profiles to improve the stability of the stacked panels. These panels slide up and down grooves in rails which are secured to the insides of the door frame with bubble adhesive tape or with screws.
