The method involves storing data, which have data subsets (D.i) assigned to data owner (V.i). Requisition for the data is made by a user (2) using an identity and access management unit (3), and access authorization for the user is stored in a data memory (1). Granting or denying of the access authorization to the data is implemented during requisition of the data. An electronic notification e.g. electronic mail, is transmitted to the data owners, by the unit during requisition of the data.
