The valve has a valve seat (3), a valve stop (2), and a sealing element moving to and fro between the valve seat and the valve stop. A valve spring (11) is arranged in a spring cup (17) in the valve stop, and loads the sealing element against the valve seat. An inner contour of the spring cup opens in the shape of a calotte from a spring cup base. The inner contour in a region of the spring cup base has a smaller curvature than in a region of a spring cup opening.
