Impulse noise suppression procedure in a radio communication channel by monitoring another channel on a different frequency. It aims to improve the quality of radio communications in the presence of impulsive noise. Main applications in digital radio, digital terrestrial television and spread spectrum communication systems. Consisting of using another radio channel (monitoring channel) at a frequency different from that of the information receiving channel, as an aid to detect impulse noise so that, during the time interval in which this impulse noise occurs, the system receiver invalidates the information received in the information reception channel. Two variants of the procedure are presented: Variant A, in which the monitoring channel does not carry another communication signal and Variant B, in which the monitoring channel is occupied by another communication signal.
