SYSTEM FOR THE TRANSFORMATION OF A SINGLE WALL TANK IN A DOUBLE WALL, WITH LEAK DETECTION.

A system is described by which it is possible to transform a single wall tank into a double wall tank, of the type known as "intrinsically safe", by providing an interior wall, inside the single initial wall, and with the formation of an interstitial chamber between both walls, which houses an intermediate layer, of an elastic nature, effective for the detection of any eventual leakage of the liquid contained inside the tank. The interstitial layer is obtained from a plate formed by use of residual elastomeric materials, fragmented to a certain size, and compacted to each other by a suitable adherent material.
