A method for controlling a first, second and third geosynchronous satellites (102, 104, 106) in tundra orbits in three orbital planes in a system with time diversity, providing the system with time diversity signal early satellite and signal late to the receivers satellite signal corresponding late satellite signal early delayed satellite, covering each of the satellites a common track (60) of land has a north loop (62), a southern loop (64 ) and a point (66) crossing between the northern loop and south where southern loop has an intersection with Ecuador (68), the method being characterized by the steps of: activating the first satellite (102) that ascends through said southern loop (64) from Ecuador (68); operating the second satellite (104) at apogee as a late satellite to provide said late satellite signal to said receivers; deactivating the third satellite (106) after descending the southern (64) loop below Ecuador (68), having operated said third satellite as a satellite early to provide said early signal to said receivers, before reaching a nearby orbital position to Ecuador; operating said first satellite as said late satellite when said first satellite reaches said point (66) crossing, said first satellite operating as said late satellite while said first satellite crosses said northern loop (62); and switching the operation of said second satellite from operation as said late satellite to operation as said early satellite when said second satellite traverses said point (66) crossing to start its descent from said south (64) loop.
