The fixing element comprises 0.28 to 0.32 percent by weight of carbon, 1.30 to 1.50 percent by weight of manganese, 0.35 to 0.75 percent by weight of nickel, 0.35 to 0.60 percent by weight of chromium, 0.008 to 0.05 percent by weight of boron, 0.02 percent by weight of phosphorous and 0.02 percent by weight of sulfur. The fixing element is made of steel alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the fixing element, which involves placing the piece under the hardening and tempering heat treatments, which effect the lamination in cool spiral zone, omitting the later heat treatment.
