A method of enhancing an image of tomographic projection of a patient comprising the steps of: obtaining a first sinogram data set from a patient; reconstruct the first sinogram data set in a first image; aligning a second image with the first image so that optimal registration for one between the first and the second image; reprojection image aligned in a third sinogram data set; extracting data from the third sinogram data set that are not available in the first sinogram data set; increase the first sinogram data set with the extracted data from the previous step to obtain a data set augmented sinogram; reconstruct the data set augmented sinogram in a third image. 16
