A drive assembly (40) for implanting a surgical device to repair body tissue, the drive assembly comprising: a handle (44; 204) having a distal end configured to receive a removable cannula (41); a trigger arm (42; 202) connected to the handle (44; 204); and a mechanism mechanically coupled to the trigger arm forward (42; 202) characterized in that said feed mechanism is constructed to receive and shift increments the surgical device (14) through the cannula (41) and into the tissue body repair in response to a force applied to the trigger arm (42; 202), and in that the advancement mechanism comprises a shuttle (15; 214) fixed reciprocating to said handle, and a cam member pivotally connected to the shuttle (15; 214), the cam member is configured to hold the surgical device (14) against the shuttle (15; 214) in response to said force applied to the trigger arm (42; 202).
