A shearing and compacting press for the production of pressed parts from wastematerial.Feed material is pre-compacted to the width of the package and subjected tointermediatecompacting until the height of the package is reached. In a third compactingstep, thefinal width or length of the package is carried out. The material is pre-compacted with acontinuous force and optionally sheared until the first compressor reaches itsfinalposition. The second compressor is securely adjusted and guided to its endposition on aparallel plane. Subsequently, the third compressor is guided in a position inwhich thefirst compressor frees the opening of the package chamber when the compressoris drivenback. Finally, the compressors are subjected to a pressure that is lower thanthemaximum pressure available at the beginning of the working and return strokes.
