A high solvency dispersive power (HSDP) crude oil is added to a base crude oil toproactively address the potential for fouling heat exchange equipment. TheHSDP component dissolves asphaltene precipitates and maintains suspensionof inorganic particulates before coking affects heat exchange surfaces.
