This invention relates to a procedure for obtaining a convolution core for an accelerator which generates fields for radiotherapy, convolution of the convolution core with a field flux distribution which is proportional to the dose applied by that field. According to this invention this procedure is characterized in that it comprises: (a) creating a test field with symmetry of revolution, (b) obtaining dose measurements, (c) obtaining a dose profile, (d) obtaining the transform of the dose profile, (e) obtaining the transform of the flux, (f) obtaining the convolution core, and inverse transformation to the dose transform quotient between the test field flux transform.
