A METHOD OF INFORMING FAILURE INFORMATION BASED ON BI-DIRECTIONAL FORWARDING DETECTION PROTOCOL AND DEVICE

A method of informing failure information based on bi-directional forwarding detection protocol is disclosed. The method includes: performing BFD on the PSN link between the first PE and the second PE; when the failure occurs between the first PE and the CE connected with it, the first PE informs the failure information to the second PE by BFD performing on the PSN link. The service provider edge is also disclosed. This solution can efficiently reduce the failure informing burden of the network.
