The invention relates to a printed symbol support, especially for use as e.g. a clock face and a symbol disc for automotive instruments, the printed symbol support comprising a plastic substrate material (5) which is covered with at least one color coat (8, 9, 10). The invention is characterized in that the substrate material (5) is a polypropylene (PP), the surface of the substrate material (5) is additionally pretreated and the substrate material (5) is coated with a bonding agent (6, 7).
