A disintegration testing instrument that enhances intraoral reproducibility, realizing evaluation of an orally disintegrable tablet with high reproducibility. The disintegration testing instrument (10) includes rotatable axially supported drum (4), on which sample tablet (D) is mounted. Further, the disintegration testing instrument (10) is equipped with plummet (5) for pressing the sample tablet (D) being an orally disintegrable tablet against the drum (4). Accordingly, by rotation of the drum (4), particles resulting from disintegration of the sample tablet (D) are carried by the drum (4) in accordance with the rotation of the drum (4),so that adherence thereof to the periphery of the sample tablet (D) can be inhibited . As a result, satisfactory frictional force can be generated between the plummet (5) and the drum (4) side of the sample tablet (D). Consequently, the condition of having the pressure by the tongue and upper jaw applied to the sample tablet in the presence of saliva can be simulated by the rotation of drum (4) conducted while supplying a small amount of test liquid (2). Therefore, in-vitro intraoral reproduction with high precision can be realized.
