To provide a load cell unit, a weight checker and an electronic weighting instrument both using the load cell unit. The load cell unit can favorably determine the weight of a subject even if the ambient temperature changes. A strain inducing member has a plurality of strain inducing parts. Strain gages, which are of temperature sensitivity compensation type, are disposed in the respective associated strain inducing parts. A bridge circuit is formed by the strain gages. A zero-point compensating element compensates the zero point of the bridge circuit in accordance with the temperature of the strain inducing member to effect a coarse correction of the output of the bridge circuit. A temperature sensing resistor serves as a temperature sensor for determining the temperature of the strain inducing member. The zero-point compensating element and temperature sensing resistor are disposed in thick portions each between adjacent strain inducing parts. A signal processing part is used to effect a fine correction of the coarsely corrected output of the bridge circuit. In this way, an output of the bridge circuit, which has been subjected to a zero-point compensation in terms of circuitry, can be further subjected to a zero-point compensation in terms of software.
