A sensor device (1) comprises a transmitting and receiving unit (8) for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves, and a beam direction unit (9). The beam direction unit (9) is designed for the alternating deflection of the electromagnetic waves which are transmitted by the transmitting and receiving unit (8) either to a region of a roadway (7) below a vehicle or to a region of a wheel (3), and for the deflection of the electromagnetic waves reflected from the region of the roadway (7) or from the region of the wheel (3) to the beam direction unit (9) back to the transmitting and receiving unit (8). The sensor device (1) is also designed to determine a driving speed (VF) as a function of the received electromagnetic waves which are reflected from the region of the roadway (7), and for determining a wheel rotational speed (VR) as a function of the received electromagnetic waves which are reflected from the region of the wheel (3).
