MODIFICATION OF DISPLAY PROPERTIES OF WEB PAGES WHILE RETAINING JUSTIFICATION AND TEXT BOUNDARIES

aIDEAS Personal Visual Adaptation is a method of adapting a WWW page in a mark up language to alter how it is displayed, for example modification of text font, colour or size. This is conditional on identifying at least one boundary of an area of content within the page and then converting the display characteristics of the content, whilst substantially retaining the identified boundaries. Consequently the content is not distorted and PVAW is more effective in comparison with zoom tools. This method relies on personal choice and moreover the client-side implementation allows closer coupling between display device and computer processing hardware and removes the need to communicate preferences. This has advantages in terms of less telecom bandwidth / latency and more privacy.
