The device is of a hemispherical shape (1) and provided with a central pin (3) to be inserted into a complementary bore created on top of the damaged bone area. Three inclined openings (2) positioned in the upper area of the cap (1) facilitate the insertion of a wire or a view into the space underneath for a determination of the shape of the prosthesis. Marking pins can be attached to three recesses (5) at the lower surface of the cap in order to measure the appropriate distance between the inner surface of the implant and the bone.
