Method, recording media and system in communication test field for testing the routing message protocol performance of a network apparatus, including establishing RIP Session with the tested network apparatus, setting information of routing entries, packaging it into response message, and multicasting the response message to the tested network apparatus periodically. The apparatus processes the response message, and determines the routing message protocol performance of it according to the processing result. The system includes an initialization a module, a message sending module and processing module.
