A functional module (10) in the field of telecommunications is fittable to a telecommunications module and comprises at least one flexible handle (12) on at least one side (18, 20) thereof.;A method of installing and/or handling a functional module in the field of telecommunications comprises the steps of:releasably fitting the functional module comprising at least one flexible release handle to a telecommunications module comprising at least one contact for the connection of a wire therewith,grasping the handle of the functional module,applying a pulling force to the handle to thereby remove the functional module from the telecommunications module.
