The invention relates to a bentonitic geotextile (1) made of a complex including a layer (2) defining a porous core for trapping a bentonite-based powdery material, and a substrate layer (3) defining one of the outer surfaces of said complex, characterised in that said substrate layer (3) is mechanically bound only to the layer (2) made of a non-woven material defining the porous core of the complex, and in that it comprises a barrier layer (4) on the outer surface of the complex opposite the substrate layer (3).
