A METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTING USER PLANE ALGORITHM

A method for selecting user plane algorithm is provided, which comprises the following steps: a network side entity receives a request sent by a user terminal; the network side entity obtains security information of the user terminal and selects a user plane algorithm according to the security information of the user terminal. A system and an apparatus for selecting user plane algorithm are also provided. With the present invention, the network can select different algorithms of different security levels, i.e. algorithm negotiations can be selected with respect to different services, different users. Thus, the network encryption operation ismore flexible, and each of the users or services that have different security demands is provided with a different level protection.
