It is intended to provide method for estimating the naked eye evaluation data of the three-dimensional shape of the skin surface and an apparatus and a program for computing the naked eye evaluation data of the three-dimensional shape of the skin surface so that the naked eye evaluation data of the three-dimensional shape of the skin surface can be easily, objectively and quantitatively estimated by anyone. By using the correlationship between the naked eye evaluation data of the three-dimensional shape of the skin surface and the fractal dimension of the color display signal distribution of skin images, the naked eye evaluation data of the three-dimensional shape of the skin surface is estimated.
