A method and system for automatically updating mobile terminal software, mobile terminal and software managing server are provided. The method comprises: receiving the software updating inquiry request which is initiated by the mobile terminal; judging whether the mobile terminal software needs to be updated according to the inquiry request, and if it needs to be updated, sending the address of the downloading server to which the updating software belongs to the mobile terminal; the mobile terminal downloading the updating software from the downloading server according to the address of the downloading server. The software updating inquiry request initiated by the mobile terminal can be finished by realizing the interface of the software managing server on the software of the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal can automatically update.
