The invention relates to a filter (1) for producing crushed ice using a hand-held blender (2), characterised in that it has the shape of a cup, having a height larger than its width, that comprises an opening (1A) at the upper end thereof for successively inserting ice cubes (4) and the hand-held blender (2), and a lower portion provided with calibrated openings (10) for the progressive discharge of crushed ice, and in that a member (11) protrudes at the bottom (1B) of the filter in order to prevent the positioning of an ice cube (4) at the centre of the bottom (1B) of the ice cube filter. The invention also relates to a method for producing crushed ice.
