The equipment introducing the cryogenic fluids comprises a mixing device upstream of the supply unit. It is preferably implemented as a mixing chamber in which, before supply to the chiller or cooler, the media are mixed. The supply unit introduces the mixture into the chilling- or cooling equipment. The mixer has separate connections to reservoirs for each of the two fluids, and a single outlet for the mixer. Positioning of the connections on the mixer, assures approximately homogeneous mixing of the media introduced. An independent claim is included for the corresponding method.
