In the preamplifier module (2) a passive damping impedance (Z DV, Z SD) follows the high frequency (HF) line (15). During damping or transmission, HF pulses from a transmitter excite a spin system at the HF oscillatory circuit (1), and the damping impedance is connected by switching, to the oscillatory circuit. The ratio between the complex reflection factor of the passive damping impedance, and the characteristic impedance (R W) of the HF line, exceeds 0.5. An independent claim is included for the corresponding method.
