METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SIMULATING A MAXILLOFACIAL SURGICAL PROCEDURE AND FOR TRANSFERRING SAME TO THE OPERATING THEATRE

The method involves displaying a three dimensional (3D) image of the skull, having a guide passage, of a patient on a screen, and placing the patient`s dental impressions in intercuspidation position after positioning the passage. The intercuspidation is transferred to the 3D image, and the displayed 3D image is analyzed cephalometrically. A treatment plan is established, and a pre-folded osteosynthesis plate is produced from the established treatment plan. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a semi-active method for intra-operational guiding of a user (2) a device for manual displacement and intercuspidation of impressions.
