A shift device for a piano keyboard, which facilitates adjustment of the position in height of a wooden slide frame and in which the position in height of the wooden slide frame can be stably held for a long period to prevent impact sound in playing a key. The shift device (1) for a piano keyboard has a key bed (7), a wooden slide frame (9) having a front lateral member (17), a middle lateral member (19), a rear lateral member (21), and longitudinal members (23), shift means (11) for sliding the wooden slide frame (9), and height position adjustment means (13) for adjusting the position in height of the wooden slide frame (9) relative to the key bed (7). The height position adjustment means (13) is constructed from a point base pin (31), a shift guide screw (35), and a base screw (41) to enable the wooden slide frame (9) to slide relative to the key bed (7) without contact.
