Method for reducing the heat conductivity of building stones made from a calcium silicate material, especially porous concrete, comprises inserting particles of a micro- or macro-porous material into the stone. The particles are added to starting materials during the production of the stone and are bound in the stone during subsequent production of the stone. An independent claim is also included for a building stone produced by the above method.
