A wireless communication system, comprising: a transmitter configured to transmit data via radio frequency, and wherein the transmitter is further configured to transmit an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) signal having a plurality of OFDM symbols, and a receiver configured to detect a coarse timing, a fine timing, a coarse frequency and a fine frequency from the OFDM signal in an OFDM symbol-by-OFDM symbol manner, and wherein the plurality of OFDM symbols are without a training symbol.
